The Cruciform Barn rethinks archetypal front/back relationships and generic planning ubiquitous in residential architecture. Siting and formal manipulation generate a family-centric house optimized for social engagement, placing the host at the “altar”.
The interior and exterior finishes and detailing of this project reflect both traditional and modern aspects. The finishing strives to create a timeless interior, melding the clean lines of modernism – with the richness and warmth of a traditional home.
