Most would call this a modern house, but its upside-down organization and grounded forms actually have more in common with the villas of Palladio, deconstructed. Monumental stone entry stairs and two-story exterior stone walls recall the villa. The glass walls to the ocean side suggest a villa cracked open, to allow for 21st century lifestyles.
